Where to get your first five minutes: every open mic in GP, WC and KZN

We mapped every weekly open mic across the three provinces, including sign-up rules, slot lengths and who runs the door.

Getting stage time is the whole game for a new comic. We spoke to the people running each room about how to get booked, what not to do on your first night, and which mics are best for working new material versus building tape. Bookmark this — we update it monthly.
